We had a great day celebrating West Virginia Fairs and Festivals at the State Capitol! 💙💛
It was also a special milestone as our newly crowned Queen Miranda made her first official appearance representing the Putnam County Fair. 👑
Miranda enjoyed meeting fellow fair and festival royalty from across the state, taking photos, and sharing the pride we all have in our communities and the traditions that bring us together each year.
Events like this remind us how important our fairs and festivals are to the culture, agriculture, and families of West Virginia.
We’re grateful to our lawmakers for their continued support of fairs and festivals and for recognizing the role they play in strengthening communities across our state.
Do you love a WV Fair or Festival? Drop a ❤️ in the comments to show your support for these great events and organizations across our state. 🙌

Queen Miranda is getting ready for fair season! 🐑👑
Last night she picked up the newest addition to her family: her lamb for this year’s project.
A big thank you to Tasha and David Bailey for continuing to support youth in agriculture and for letting Miranda purchase a lamb from you year after year.
Moments like these are what the fair is all about: learning responsibility, building relationships, and carrying on traditions that make our fair family so special.
We can’t wait to see how this sweet little project grows! 💖
