But if you volunteer with, attend, or work with a fair- you already know that. 😉
But here are the numbers anyway- a study shared at the Governor’s Conference on Tourism this week shows that the average U.S. fair supports 165 jobs in its community and generates more than $86,000 in tax revenue. Smaller fairs with fewer than 25,000 attendees average $2.44 million in local economic impact.
Behind those numbers are the vendors, businesses, workers and families who make fair season possible. When you support a fair, you’re supporting the community around it, too. ❤️

Today, West Virginia’s Fairs and Festivals got a “Seat at the Table” at the Governor’s Conference on Tourism and our very own PCF President Krista Snodgrass was invited to serve as a panelist! 🤩
We are incredibly proud to have her represent us and advocating for the fairs and festivals that bring communities together across West Virginia!
Krista joined fellow industry leaders including sharing insight from her years of experience in the fair and festival industry and right here at the Putnam County Fair.

👑 Queen Miranda met up with our pageant committee at Hank’s to start talking all things WVAFF and preparing for the West Virginia Association of Fairs & Festivals pageant in January!
