There’s nothing quite like fair week ✨

The lights. The livestock. The roar of the crowd. The traditions that bring us all together year after year.

We’re loving these fair-themed portraits that capture what the Putnam County Fair means to YOU-whether you grew up in the show ring, spent your nights on the midway, or never miss demolition derby night.

👉 Drop your fair-themed portrait in the comments and tell us:
Are you a livestock kid, a carnival kid, or a derby fan?

Let’s celebrate every part of our fair family ❤️🎡🐮💥

My story started when the PUTNAM COUNTY FAIR OF WEST VIRGINIA started doing eating contests.

I've been going to the fair since I was little, I was always involved as a kid and teenager , I showed cattle through 4H and FFA, ran for fair queen a couple years and received the honor of Miss Congeniality one year, I served as a Jr Fair Board Member for two years. Since aging out of 4H and FFA I have been involved in fair by volunteering in many different aspects, and always helping were is needed. I love the fair, especially our county fair (Mason Co) , I'll always support the fair in every way possible and it will always have a big spot in my heart... I mean that's kinda how my husband and I got together.. was through the fair and 4H ❤️🎡

21 years and counting attending the Putnam County Fair, 14 years of showing livestock, and now the Queen. So blessed 💕👑

This sums me up perfectly 🤣

I’m a Fair Board member and Chair of our Safety Committee. I’m heavily involved in the fair due to Stockholm Syndrome.

My story started as a livestock kid, and I'm honored to be the President of one of the BEST county fairs in WV.

🤭

Stop using ai. This is sick. Actively destroying our planet.

It was a pleasure to spend time with leaders who truly support our community at the Annual Putnam County Chamber of Commerce Dinner and Business Meeting! ✨

We’re grateful for the continued support of Doug Pierson, Putnam County Commissioner, and Kathie Hess Crouse, Member of the West Virginia House of Delegates. Both are strong supporters of the Putnam County Fair and champions of the people, businesses, and traditions that make #PutnamWV thrive.

Moments like this reflect how interconnected our business community, local leadership, and the fair truly are. When elected officials, organizations, and community partners come together, it strengthens the foundation of Putnam County and helps ensure our traditions continue for generations to come.

Thankful for leaders who show up, stay engaged, and support the events and institutions that bring our county together. 💪
